Who is Ken Moyes?

I am a person who has viewed the nonsense happening in our government over the years with frustration. I know that politics and government have always been nasty and inefficient. However, I believe that unless citizens watch, discuss, and communicate with their elected officials, the elected officials will take what they can from the system, adhere to special interest requests, and simply not look out for the voter. Our elected officials for the most part are career politicians, with a few exceptions, with one eye on the country and one eye on their career and future – we don’t have their undivided attention. Under our Constitution we are the watchdogs. If we abdicate this position of power, we only have ourselves to blame. Don’t blame the government for not changing and serving its people, because in this land we are the government. Government is not the answer nor is it the cure. It is only an inefficient means to defense, security, and prosperity.

By the way, to avoid confusion, I am not the Ken Moyes from the Publishing Company.

Who is Ken Moyes? My older and wiser first cousin. I personally think he should either run for president or have his own talk show on one of the popular cable networks. You need to meet the man behind the blogs. Conversations with him in person are really educational, intelligent and entertaining all at the same time! You go Ken! Remember your cousin in New Jersey when you are in the White House or on T.V.

Ken you sound a lot like someone I know that has the same ideas. He too has had enough from congress and decided to run for congress against Tom Feeney (the incumbent) in district 24 as the best and only choice for Republicans in the primary.

Here is his website http://www.votejdavis.com and I think you both should get together because you both have the same convictions towards this great country of ours. Thank you for sharing your site and I am sure to pass it on.

In regard to your article Democrats out politician the Republicans… dated October 5, 2008, I believe you have a misprint in paragraph 9 – … Clinton administration, circa 2004, – I believe 2004 is incorrect since that was during the Bush admin. Shouldn’t it be circa 1994?

  8. Thank you Kathy – it was an error. It has been corrected to read 1999.

I have read two different ways the new wizard Obama is going change the taxing of household income of $250,000 or more. Before wages are taking out $250,000 gross and then after expenses? Please explain if you could.

    Ken,

Great job with the site. I appreciate the time and effort you’ve invested.

I’m 50 years old but just now starting to take notice to what is going on in our government. I’ve been reading quite a bit, digging in to learn as much as I can. Watching a lot of C-SPAN. Sending e-mails to my elected officials on issues that I feel strongly about. Long overdue.

I discovered your site while doing a google search for information on Pelosi and the power & influence she wields. Your site did not disappoint. Excellent work.

I should mention that I am still trying to sort out where I am in the political spectrum; I’m a work in progress. I definitely agree with the views you have shared here and appreciate the information you’ve provided. The feel and tone of this blog seems like a great match for the issues that concern me and my stance on them.

Thanks again for tellin’ it like it is.

    All The Best,

    Mike
